Your Session Preparation
How to Prepare for Your Session
Whether your session is an energy healing or ceremony, these simple steps will help you arrive grounded and open, ready to receive the healing, guidance, and energy being woven for you.
Distant Healing Sessions
When we work at a distance, the energy travels through time and space — your intention and presence help create a beautiful bridge between us.
Before your session, please make sure you’ve completed your client form (you will have done so at your booking) so I can tune into your energy and intention ahead of time.
Here’s how to prepare in your own space:
1. Create a peaceful environment
Choose a quiet, comfortable space where you won't be disturbed. You may like to dim the lights, light a candle, or play soft music. If you'd prefer to listen to your own music during the healing, please use headphones connected to a separate device so we can remain in contact throughout the session. Below you'll also find a few playlists you may enjoy.
2. Ground and arrive
A few slow breaths, a sip of water or warm drink, or simply placing your hands over your heart helps you settle into the moment. You might whisper an intention such as “I am open to receive healing and guidance.”
3. Set your body up for comfort
Lie down or sit somewhere supportive. Keep a blanket nearby in case your temperature shifts during the session.
4. Keep your space sacred
Turn off notifications, let loved ones know you’ll be in a quiet moment, and allow the energy to flow without distractions.
5. After the session
Take a few moments to rest, journal, or enjoy a warm drink. The energy continues to integrate over the following days — drink plenty of water and listen to your body’s needs.
In-Person Sessions
If you haven’t already, please complete your client form before arriving so I can prepare your space and energy with full intention.
When you come to Soul Nest Sanctuary, your space will already be prepared for you.
You don’t need to bring anything special — wear something comfortable and allow yourself time to arrive calmly.
You might like to set an inner intention for what you wish to release or receive before you arrive.
After your session, give yourself a little quiet time if possible — perhaps a slow walk, a gentle stretch, or tea before returning to your day.
Preparing for Your Threshold & Soul Tending Ceremony
Whether you are joining me in person or connecting from afar, your ceremony begins with intention.
Threshold & Soul Tending Ceremonies are created to honour significant seasons of change, healing, transition, grief, creative awakening, or soul remembrance. Each ceremony is unique and may weave together ritual, meditation, journeywork, tea or cacao, reflection, healing, and intuitive practices.
There is no special preparation required.
You may wish to spend a little time reflecting on what is ending, what is emerging, or what you are ready to honour and welcome into your life.
If your ceremony is taking place online, you may wish to prepare a simple sacred space before we begin. This doesn't need to be elaborate. You might light a candle, gather a journal, bring a meaningful object to your space, prepare a cup of tea or cacao, or simply take a few moments to settle and arrive.
The intention is not perfection, but presence.
Creating a quiet, comfortable space allows you to step more fully into the ceremony and honour the threshold you are tending.
If your ceremony includes tea or cacao, allow the preparation of your cup to become part of the ritual itself. Move slowly, breathe deeply, and infuse the process with your intention.
Above all, come as you are.
Your presence, openness, and willingness to honour this moment are enough.
After your ceremony, allow yourself space for rest, reflection, journalling, or gentle self-care as the experience continues to unfold in the days ahead.
Your intention and care in preparing your space weave beautifully into the energy of your session.
