How to Prepare for Your Session
Whether your session is energy-based or a custom aromatherapy co-creation, these simple steps will help you arrive grounded and open, ready to receive the wisdom of the plants and the energy being woven for you.
Distant Healing Sessions
When we work at a distance, the energy travels through time and space — your intention and presence help create a beautiful bridge between us.
Before your session, please make sure you’ve completed your client form so I can tune into your energy and intention ahead of time.
Here’s how to prepare in your own space:
1. Create a peaceful environment
Choose a quiet, comfortable space where you won’t be disturbed. You may like to dim the lights, light a candle, or play soft music (please have this playing quietly or wait until your healing starts and your microphone can be muted, below I have playlist which you might enjoy).
2. Ground and arrive
A few slow breaths, a sip of water, or placing your hands over your heart helps you settle into the moment. You might whisper an intention such as “I am open to receive healing and guidance.”
3. Set your body up for comfort
Lie down or sit somewhere supportive. Keep a blanket nearby in case your temperature shifts during the session.
4. Keep your space sacred
Turn off notifications, let loved ones know you’ll be in a quiet moment, and allow the energy to flow without distractions.
5. After the session
Take a few moments to rest, journal, or enjoy a warm drink. The energy continues to integrate over the following days — drink plenty of water and listen to your body’s needs.
In-Person Sessions
If you haven’t already, please complete your client form before arriving so I can prepare your space and energy with full intention.
When you come to Soul Nest Sanctuary, your space will already be prepared for you.
You don’t need to bring anything special — just wear something comfortable and allow yourself time to arrive calmly.
You might like to set an inner intention for what you wish to release or receive before you arrive.
After your session, give yourself a little quiet time if possible — perhaps a slow walk, a gentle stretch, or tea before returning to your day.
Preparing for Your Sacred Sip Ceremony
Whether you’re joining me in person or connecting from afar, your Sacred Sip Ceremony begins with intention. If your ceremony is distant, you can prepare your space just as described above — soft lighting, a quiet atmosphere, and an open heart.
This is a time to slow down, invite stillness, and honour the medicine you are about to receive. The way you prepare your cup and your space becomes part of the ritual itself — a bridge between the seen and unseen, the ordinary and the sacred.
Whether you’re joining a Sacred Sip Ceremony with cacao, herbal tea, or another heart-opening brew, the ritual begins the moment you prepare your cup. This is a time to slow down, tune in, and let the medicine of the plants meet you where you are.
Below are a few gentle ways to prepare your space and brew so you can enter the ceremony with presence and reverence.
Creating your sacred space
Clear your space, light a candle, or place something meaningful beside you. You might wish to take a few slow breaths or set an intention such as “May this sip return me to my heart.”
Preparing your sip
As you stir or pour, move with intention. Whisper your prayer or intention into the cup and let each action — the pouring, stirring, sipping — become a moment of devotion.
Simple Sacred Recipes
Heart-Opening Cacao
For grounding, creativity, and connection.
1 cup hot water (or coconut milk if you prefer a creamier texture)
1 tbsp ceremonial-grade cacao
Pinch of cinnamon
Dash of honey or maple syrup
Optional: tiny sprinkle of cayenne or vanilla for warmth
Gently heat (don’t boil) and stir clockwise, breathing your intention into the blend.
Dreamer’s Mugwort Tea
For insight, intuition, and connecting with the unseen.
1 tsp mugwort
1 tsp chamomile
A few mint leaves (fresh or dried)
Steep for 5–7 minutes. Sip slowly, allowing your awareness to soften and drift inward.
Everyday Heart Tea
For grounding and warmth using ingredients you likely already have.
Black tea or rooibos base
Slice of fresh ginger
Squeeze of lemon
Drizzle of honey
Let the ritual be in the presence, not the ingredients. Take each sip with gratitude and gentleness.
Receiving
Sit with your cup in both hands. Feel its warmth, breathe in its scent, and let your body relax as the plants begin to work their quiet medicine. Whether your brew is simple or ceremonial, your presence is what makes it sacred.
Each sip is a ceremony — a moment to pause, listen, and come home to yourself.
Your intention and care in preparing your space weaves beautifully into the energy of your session. Thank you for honouring this time for yourself — I can’t wait to share it with you.
